Essential Boots and Booties
Fall is still here, but the hint of winter is truly sinking in. This past Saturday, it was 15 degrees at night which means it is getting to be too cold for flats, boating shoes, etc.
But that also means boot season is truly here! I start wearing boots in September but as fall goes into full swing I rarely wear anything else. I have several types of boots and booties and today I’ll be featuring my favorites and my recommendations if you’re looking to buy more!
I wear my booties pretty much daily, they are so comfortable and add polish to any outfit. Both of my pairs are from Land’s End which I link in every post so I’ll give you some new selections below! All three pairs below are currently 20% off!
2. Riding Boots
I bought my first pair of riding boots (which I still have) when I was a sophomore in college. They are a great staple and perfect for fall and winter. If you buy a good leather pair they will last you for years to come.
3. Bean Boots
I am a newbie to bean boots, but I’ve always heard great things about them. With the temperature drop here I’ve been wearing them more and more lately. They are the perfect boot to dress up or down.
4. Rain Boots
After barely making it through my freshman year without rain boots, I will never go back. I never had rain boots in high school but once I went to college it became a necessity. My husband bought me my Hunter rain boots for my 23rd birthday and they have held up perfectly. I do recommend investing in a nice pair of rain boots, they will last you a long time and you will wear them more than you think.
5. Over the Knee Boots
I am loving the trend of the over the knee boots. They can be dressed up or dressed down and just bring an overall cool edge to your look. I like the ones with smaller heels because I think they transition really well from day to night. I have a pair of higher heeled over the knee boots but I find I don’t wear them as often as my low heeled ones.
